People do not have to hurt anymore due to inflation

Why do we still have inflation problems? We know we have economic cycles. Can we not foresee what is coming ahead? Why are we running into the same debate. This should be solved already.

We moderates notice things happening between two opposing parties. Here is my take.

Friedman and Plumer make a good case in helping us understand the debate, which is obviously on people's mind--inflation. People are hurting, still. Americans want leaders who will fight for them, not bicker back and forth with half solutions.

Simply work for the people.

I recall president Clinton, when he was in office stating that we could create 1 trillion new green jobs. I still believe this to be our best bet at lessening our reliance on high costs of oil and gas. Transportation costs get added onto the consumer and there really is no reason to do so. If we reduce transportation costs, we reduce inflation. This in total solves more jobs needed (13% Economist/YouGov Poll), while solving the lowering of inflation (29% Economist/YouGov Poll).

I hear a lot of messaging that seems to get lost, due to being played out.

Politicians should be focused on not being out messaged, rather re-labeling the messaging. For example, fossil fuels or oil and gas sounds too republican, which pisses off democrats. Then, there is climate change (57% Economist/YouGov Poll), which gets republicans angry. We should re-brand everything as one. This is stated in the NY Times by Rahm Emanuel as well. The goal is for our times or quite simply the lowering of inflation (29% Economist/YouGov Poll).

The Moderate Angle

I agree we should have a mixed approach where Oil and Gas along with climate change (solar, wind) are the solution. My preliminary recommendation is to have 25% in subsidies for each democrat and republican solution (people are hurting now). I also recommend having a 25% R&D investment in each current energy policy (spark innovation).

This won't solve everything right away as more policy is needed to help those hurting now, such as other subsidies, reduction in taxes, and/or placing a percentage of our defense money into the hands of everyday Americans (we don't need to burn our money into a war every time we have a surplus - wars are extremely expensive, while peace is free).
