The main story line or message is:
This is about a high-ranking family who many may envy, but who often hide behind tragedy.
The best (worst) bit is about: The opening scene kept my interest when a male escapes from his home through a window suddenly becomes trapped by a U.S. Marshals at gunpoint. In the dark, both are shot by a militarized assassin removing the bullet used and planting a grenade as evidence before fleeing. The actors looked like actors as they ran through the wilderness; otherwise, the production looked like a line of fire. Brian Delaney (David CALL) is a U.S. Marshals who wants to go after an accountant who works for a cartel. Delaney has his story facts incorrect about what occurred, while Clare of the FBI is more logical and methodical in her investigation. I like how Micah was looking for bugs, while Clare was looking for clues and they each found what they were looking for. Clare confronts Jane about finding a hole in the ground caused by a bullet being fired into the ground by the killer to make it look like Libby fired it, Clare requests 24 hours more time to investigate. Meanwhile, Micah asks his presidential library VIP (Pooja PASUPULA) to investigate the background of the landlord, due to finding a hidden camera earlier. Clare talks to Jane the next day saying the killer may have lured both Carlos Decena (Carlo ALBAN) and Libby so he could kill them both. The family are all on the phone either working overtime or cleaning up their mess. Jane tells Clare that the investigation is closed, which shows that investigations are time limited and may be inaccurate in the end. Clare continues with her investigation. Clare confronts Max Eckhardt (Dariush KASHANI) with Brian about Libby seeking Carlos help to keep her alive with drugs. The cartel found out that Libby was closing in, got scared, and hired a hitman to kill them both. Jane says that Libby went rogue.
I enjoyed (I didn't enjoy) watching this programme because: I am left from the very beginning if this law enforcement family truly abides by the law or has the potential to cover things up. I like the detail used by the writer (Joshua SAFRAN), particularly when Clare points out Libby Farrell (Anna CHLUMSKY) was shot in her pec major sternal head. Yet, the camera angle shows waist level when in actuality the camera should be focused on the chest area. Brian says initial entry and exit wounds match caliber of the gun; yet, the report shows there was no penetration. Mike asks his son Russell for confidential files, which makes you wonder if this family breaks more laws. Russell finds out what his father Mike wants, but Mike doesn't want it anymore. Logan walks into his Clare's house wanting to apologize, only to find out that Daryl (Keith NOBBS) took a photo with the family. Daryl finds Logan and stabs him in the ribcage. Nia Wallace (Antoinette CROWE-LEGACY) of homeland security says federal agents are being targeted. Mike and Jane wonder if Jack is the killer. The killer keeps leaving traces of aluminum foil origami foldings, such as the one Jane found where Logan was stabbed by Daryl.
I would (I wouldn't) recommend this programme to someone because: I like how Micah and Sydney Kayana (Savannah Lee SMITH) of the secret service gave each other looks of attraction when searching for a penthouse, but lacked real kissing. Logan (Pico ALEXANDER) realizes this family is different. This is a family you would expect to envy, but you realize they are more comfortable talking on the phone than in-person. Yet, Clare, Micah, and Russell talk to one another like family, while having a 40 oz. sparked by a family tragedy. It seems like the whole family dynamics revolves around protecting their life from another tragedy.
