TV Review
Title: The Studio: The Promotion (S1.E1)
Channel: AppleTV+
Genre: drama
Main Characters: Seth ROGEN (writer/director/actor)
The Plot or purpose: Matt gets promoted to make a Kool-Aid movie, but faces chaos due to constant lying just to save his job. Matt ends up buying and killing Martin Scorsese screenplay at Charlize Theron's party.
The main story line or message is: MATT REMICK (Seth Rogen) gets promoted to make movies at Continental.
The best (worst) bit is about: The worst part of the tv series is the constant lying by Matt. It is heart-breaking that a Biblical name lies so much just to get by with his chaotic day.
I enjoyed (I didn't enjoy) watching this programme because: Will this studio move forward with a lying Matt hiring a former studio head who made 10 movie flops? It almost seems too ridiculous to watch.
I would (I wouldn't) recommend this programme to someone because: The acting quality is good from the entire cast. Characters seem believable by the actors and actresses. Scenes and camera angles move from one to the next--keeping you on your toes for a movie studio tv series. The plot and screenwriting do not fit the actors abilities into making solid tv pilot.
